Our 9-Step Shingle Roof Installation Process:
1. Preparation & Safety
Protect your siding, landscaping, and windows with heavy-duty tarps. Our crew follows strict OSHA safety standards with harnesses, helmets, and safety equipment.
2. Tear-Off & Inspection
Remove old shingles and secure loose nails. Inspect all plywood decking—any rotten or damaged wood is replaced with 5/8″ plywood per NJ building codes.
3. Ice & Water Shield
Install waterproof barrier at eaves, valleys, and chimney areas. Critical protection against ice dams and water infiltration during North Jersey winters.
4. Underlayment
Cover entire roof with synthetic underlayment for added protection. For low-slope roofs (2/12 or 1/12 pitch), we recommend Liberty® Peel & Stick for superior durability.
5. Drip Edges & Starter Shingles
Drip edges protect plywood from water damage. Starter shingles create a waterproof seal and protect against wind uplift.
6. Premium Shingle Installation
Install GAF or Owens Corning shingles in your chosen color and style. Most Bergen & Passaic County homeowners select algae-resistant laminated shingles with 50-year warranties.
7. Flashings & Pipe Boots
Install new pipe boots around vent pipes for watertight seals. Install color-matched aluminum chimney flashing—chimney areas are a leading leak source, so we take no shortcuts.
8. Ventilation & Ridge Caps
Install ridge vents along roof peak to release trapped heat and moisture. Add color-matched ridge cap shingles to protect while maintaining airflow.
9. Final Cleanup
Magnetic nail sweep of your entire property. Your yard and driveway are left spotless—the only evidence we were there is your beautiful new roof.
Torch Down
Torch down (modified bitumen) roofing creates a heat-sealed, watertight barrier specifically designed for flat roofs. The material is heated during installation, bonding layers together for superior leak protection.

Our Torch Down Installation Process
Our Torch Down Installation Process:
1. Preparation & Tear-Off
Protect surrounding areas with tarps. Remove old roofing material and inspect deck for damage. Replace any rotten or soft wood with code-approved plywood.
2. Base Sheet Installation
Lay protective base sheet over deck and secure tightly. This creates the foundation for the Modified Bitumen system.
3. Torch Down Membrane Application
Heat-apply torch down membrane to bond directly to base sheet. Overlap and seal all seams to ensure complete waterproofing.
4. Flashings & Edge Protection
Install metal drip edges and flashing around pipes, chimneys, and roof edges. Seal all vulnerable areas—critical for North Jersey winters.
5. Final Inspection & Cleanup
Inspect every seam for complete adhesion. Magnetic nail sweep of property to ensure clean yard and driveway.
